About the Band
Writing, singing and playing guitar from a very young age, Isabel Bailey began performing in 2015. She’s busked as a soloist, played in a duet with her father and musical mentor, Bill Bailey, and now fronts the four-member Isabel Bailey Band with Bill Bailey (bass, banjo), Elie Bashkow (lead guitar, fiddle, mandolin) and Matt Humphrey (drums).
Inspired by Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and The Indigo Girls, the band fits comfortably in the folk format, but easily rolls into rock and pop with influences of Talking Heads and Amy Winehouse.
It’s Isabel’s velvety, alto voice that allows the band to effortlessly cross genres. Her exceptional, three-octave vocal range, wonderful control, and haunting tone bring dexterity, elegance and sophistication to original songs and crowd-pleasing covers.
Raised in Ivy, Virginia, Isabel now lives in Nashville, enrolled in the songwriting school at Belmont University. She returns to Central Virginia to gig with Isabel Bailey Band.
Ever versatile, Isabel Bailey Band can gin up a gentle backdrop for brunch or pack a punch at a boisterous bar. Book the band, find show dates or follow Isabel at www.isabelbailey.com or Isabel Bailey Music on Facebook.
