Bricks and Stones

Isabel Bailey Band's debut single "Bricks and Stones."

Bricks and stones Lyrics

 Lyrics by Isabel Bailey

When happy hits you like a ton of bricks

And baby they aren't made of sticks and stones

Because the feeling of freedom is very relieving

The look of sadness can be quite deceiving

When you don’t know what it's like inside

The curtains were drawn for far too long

But you can say you know

All you want

And I never should have surrendered

If I could go back in time I’d forget it

Because I’ve come too far along, I've come too far along

From where I started

Standing up against a wave is an impossible task,

But I swear that's what it felt like to me if you were ever to ask

I’m scared to see the end of this because whats up always comes down

I can tell you right now it's a hard pill to swallow

I don't mean to rain on your parade but if we are on the same page,

I'd like to say it's a bit overrated

Instrumental

And I never should have surrendered

If I could go back in time I’d forget it

Because I’ve come too far along, I've come too far along

From where I started

Because I’ve come too far along, I've come too far along

From where I started
